The Rise Of Crime Post Pandemic

My thoughts on the rise of crime post pandemic…are that I think all alcohol related type incidents as well as many types of the criminal side, you’re looking at spousal abuse and child abuse that definitely increased in volume during the pandemic.

But, I think in addition to the alcohol you also have long periods of time where families are sequestered inside during all that time. And usually, dad’s gone 12 hours a day, or mom’s gone to go to work and the kids are somewhere else. They’re either at school or at daycare or at sports. I definitely saw a rise in domestic violence. I think it directly resulted from just everybody being on top of each other for so much time and not having the ability to blow off steam and get away from each other. It’s one thing, if somebody lives out in a remote area, maybe on a farm or a ranch, and you can very easily walk outside, or go to the barn, or take a ride on the quad to get away. But when you’re in an apartment building or in a tiny house, and you got 5, 6, 7, 8 people in that house, it can get tight.
